About the Speaker:

Mary Beauregard, an Intercultural and Diversity Consultant, has been designing and delivering cultural awareness workshops for over 15 years.  Mary has assisted country-specific experts in creating training programs for a host of world cultures.  She designs and facilitates programs which address all cultural issues for individuals and families in global transition such as: Understanding Cultural Adjustment, Expatriate Preparation, and Repatriation and Reverse Culture Shock.  In the workplace she has facilitated programs on Multi-Cultural Diversity, Enhancing Cultural Differences in Global Teams, Intercultural Communication, E-Mail Etiquette across Cultures, Cross-Cultural Competency in Real Estate, and Cross-Cultural Effectiveness in the Global Workplace. 

 

Mary has conducted intercultural training in the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Asia for General Motors, Ford Motor, Chrysler, Toyota, Toshiba, Yazaki, Mazda, Nissan, Carhartt, Lear Corporation, Cathay Pacific Airlines, and Delphi Automotive just to name a few.  Her chapter in the recently published book Partnering for Organizational Performance; Collaboration and Culture in the Global Workplace, (Briody and Trotter) discusses the role of partnering in cross cultural training for optimum advantage in international business.  She has been a guest author for several intercultural and HR publications such as Training & Development magazine, The Detroiter, Re:locate and is a regular contributor to cultural training websites.

 

Mary and her team developed a copyrighted model for examining intercultural relationships and continue to expand their reach into identifying the challenges and benefits of living and working in a multi-cultural world.

MSED Event Cancellation Policy: Cancellations will be accepted until 5pm on Monday, January 20th. Cancellations received by this date will be refunded less a 10% administrative fee, with a minimum charge of $5. Refunds cannot be issued for cancellations received after this date; however, substitutions for another person to attend in your place are gladly accepted.
