MSE DETROIT EVENING OF EXCELLENCE

This annual event recognizes the exceptional achievements of business executives, sales and marketing professionals across southeast Michigan. We are proud to honor excellence in our field and to achieve the following:

  • Create a celebration of winners that brings attention to the great things going on in Michigan from both a business and community perspective.
  • Serve as one of the key income generators that funds MSE DETROIT's Scholarship Program, Educational Seminars and Charitable Contributions.
  • Strengthen the credibility and importance of the role played by marketing and sales professionals in the business world.

Honorees include the MSE DETROIT LEADERSHIP AWARD, TRAILBLAZER AWARD, LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD and PLATINUM AWARD(S).

   MSE DETROIT HERB EVERSS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD / BUSINESS CHAMPIONS AWARD

In 2013 the MSE Detroit Board of Directors established an awards committee to present a yearly award in the name of Mr. Herb Everss is one of MSE Detroit's founders.  These awards recognizes outstanding business leaders who have made a significant impact on their company, industry and community.  In selecting a candidate, the Judges Selection Committee looks for an individual in the SE Michigan business community that has a history of achievements which benefit entire industries and/or communities through their tireless  work, energy, passion and commitment. 


MSE DETROIT LEADERSHIP AWARD

The Executive Leadership Award recognizes a game-changer reflecting the true definition of a pinnacle leader by demonstrating leadership, building strong lasting relationships and commits to improving the community.

In selecting a candidate, the Judges Selection Committee looks for an individual in the SE Michigan business community who meets the following criteria:

  • Recognized as an impact player in their company and industry
  • Applies their leadership to the betterment of local communities
  • Inspires those around them to operate at the highest level
  • Never loses sight of the "BIG PICTURE"
  • Makes the tough decision, even when it is not popular
  • Thinks outside-the-box and encourages others to do likewise
  • Molds a diverse workforce into ONE team
  • A person of deep conviction whose integrity is beyond reproach

MSE DETROIT TRAILBLAZER AWARD

The Trailblazer Award recognizes an individual whose use of marketing has totally changed the face of the company for whom they work and/or significantly impacts the landscape of the industry they serve.

In selecting a candidate, the Judges Selection Committee looks for an individual in the SE Michigan business community who meets the following criteria:

  • Recognized as an impact player in their industry
  • Shows great creativity in the application or marketing tools
  • Not afraid to take risks
  • Significantly impacted their company's bottom line
  • Created a paradigm shift in how their company goes to market
  • Increased importance and credibility of marketing with upper management in their company
  • Steered their company into unchartered waters with very positive results
